So I tell him "I still want my money back".

He says he can give me $400 because that is all the golds worth...

What about diamonds, I ask.

I just had to know if what he’s saying was true… Maybe he was just lying, right? He made the sale already and wasn’t tryna lose…

Wrong! He was telling the truth… And the truth was way worse than I could ever imagine.

When I did some research, I discovered...

That diamonds are a scam

Yeah, it's true... Diamonds are 100% a scam... They are WORTHLESS!

I know that might sound crazy, but it's true.

Let me tell you the truth about diamonds:

Diamonds weren't a thing back then, they USED to be rare and valuable.

People didn't really start buying diamonds till the 1950s...

Because...

In the 1800s diamonds were unknown... They used to be rare. And expensive.

THEN, in the late 1800s, Cecil Rhodes, a British colonizer in South Africa...

Discovered millions of diamonds in South Africa!

He knew this would make them worthless...

So, he bought out every diamond mine in existence...

Creating a monopoly so he could control the price!

The only problem was that people didn't know about diamonds.

So what they did was...

They made ads telling people diamonds were rare and valuable... And they need them to get married...

And we should drop two month of our salary on them!

Is what I was thinking after discovering all this...

I just spent all my money on a diamond piece... That EVERYBODY thought was fake...

And even though it was real... It aint even hit!...
